Personal Notes: We Lived in Somerville Road, Friends were Eva Drayson, Alma Chine, Dorothy Cowper.
I cannot remember any teachers names. The School closed whilst we were there, but we used to walk to school, having to pass Barley lane.
We all carried Gas masks, with barley sugar in side them, and when the air raids started, we used to go down in the lower part of the school, and eat our Barley sugar. (The only good part of the war)
