Subject: Hallo to anyone who knows me.

Just to let you know that I am still living in Newbury Park, been married for 32 years to someone in the same class as me when at William Torbitt at the age of 8 years old. Anyone who knows me must remember Janet Morgan. Anyone know where Ann Terry, who lived in Cheviot Way, Newbury Park is now? Would love to hear from her as the three of us were always together.

Subject: Where are you now.

I attended the last two years at William Torbitt and left in 1959. My maiden name was Morgan and still live in Newbury Park. I married Colin Jones while he was in the army and have had two girls, and now have a grandson. I remember quite a few class mates and perhaps someone out there remembers me and Colin. Where for instance is Ann Terry, Mavis Bristow, Susan Bush, Richard Diwell, Michael Baker, Barry Burras, Bruce Walker to name but a few. We are in contact with Sandra Moore. Does anyone know Colin's sister Christine Jones who was in the year below us. She married an Irish man and has recently moved to Ireland. Frantically looking for photographs to add to the scrapbook.

Subject: MR COWAN

I remember Mr Cowan very well as he used to carry me out of school assembly when I fainted! He used to do a handwriting check and hand out gold stars for the neatest and your name went in the black book if it was messy. Three times in the black book was supposed to have meant the cane but I don't know if anyone actually got it.

Found this marvellous website through Brenda Graisgour - nice to put names to faces on the old photos. Does anyone remember my Mum Mrs Greenhow who was a dinner lady from 1945-49, then 1955-70. She is now 91 years old and still going strong! Am in regular contact with Elaine Sexton who lives in Sussex - will give her details of this website. I am living in surfers' paradise now - Newquay in Cornwall, and would love to hear from amyone who remembers me.

Subject: past pupils

I often remember my time at WT as the best of all my years of education (& there was plenty of them). Often wonder what happened to the following pupils in my class. Can anyone help? Mark Turner, Robert Bookman, Gary Murphy, Bobby Colman, Denise Silver, Daniel Bussey, the list goes on and on…..

Subject: Mr Cowan

Does anyone know what happened to Mr Cowan the HT? I remember we held him in complete awe and were terrified when he entered the classroom (as were, I suspect, the teachers).
Anyone remember his book with the Good Page and the Bad Page and how mortified we were if we didn't make the Good Page?
