William Torbitt is a school that i will remember forever, I left in year 4 to move to Yorkshire, I am in year 10 now, doing my GCSE's. I really miss all of my friends from back then. My best memory is of the golden jubilee, when we had to dress up.

The day that the 11+ exam results were announced in 1959. We were sat down in the hall, and told ''those named to get up and stand on the stage'' The rest of us [me included] remained seated, having failed the test. Not enlightened understanding of how to treat children!!
